About Hospital Tefillin Gemach
Hospital Tefillin Gemach was created to make sure Jewish patients, relatives, visitors and staff can access tefillin during hospital stays and difficult moments.
A hospital stay can happen suddenly. Many people arrive without tefillin, or family members may be far from home. By placing secure, clearly marked tefillin cabinets in hospitals, the Gemach helps people keep this precious mitzvah available when it matters most.
The service works together with hospitals, chaplains, Jewish community representatives and donors.
The aim is simple
No Jewish person in hospital should be left without access to tefillin where a cabinet can be arranged.
